Recovery of a youth's body packed in a gunny bag created sensation in Berkhedi locality under Jehangirabad police station area on Wednesday. According to the police, on Wednesday morning the locals of Jogipura temple spotted a body wrapped in gunny bags. They informed the police and on receipt of information a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation sent the body for post-mortem examination. Police informed that the deceased is in the age group of 40-42 years. They have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. All the police stations of the district were informed about the recovery of the body but till the filing of the report the police were not able to establish the identity of the deceased. Police said that the body is around 2 to 3 days old and it is possible that the man died at some other place and the body was dumped here to evade detection of identity of the victim.
The post-mortem report is awaited which could help in determining the exact reason behind death and after receiving the report a case under section 302 of the IPC would be registered.
