The body of a 17-year-old boy, which had gone missing from the Hamidia hospital mortuary on Wednesday, was on Thursday exhumed from near Bhadbhada crematorium. Preliminary investigation conducted so far suggested that a voluntary organization involved in disposing of unclaimed bodies had buried the body by mistake. DIG Raman Singh Sikarwar said that the organization involved in disposing of unclaimed bodies buried four instead of three bodies in which one of the bodies was the missing body. The body was exhumed.
In the investigation conducted by SHO MP Nagar police Suryakant Awasthi when the records were checked and after visiting the burial area it was found that four bodies were buried and the missing body was exhumed.
The magisterial enquiry would be conducted as it would help in finding facts behind the incident and action could be taken to avoid repetition of such incidents in future.
