Bodies of a young boy and a girl were found from Hotel Sky located opposite Hotel Radisson Blue here on Thursday afternoon.
The bodies of the deceased identified as Rohit (19), son of Sohan Singh Rajput, a native of Harda and Meenakshi (25), daughter of Mahendra Mourya, a native of Khandwa were lying unconscious on their bed on room No; 202 of the Hotel Sky and a bottle of poison was lying beside them.
The incident came to light on Thursday afternoon when hotel employees did not find the couple coming out of their room till 12 pm on Thursday. Suspecting something fishy, the hotel employees informed about the matter to hotel management and also to the Khajrana police.
It was only after arrival of police that door of room No. 202 was unlocked. After entering the room, police found the deceased lying unconsciously on their bed with a bottle of poison lying beside them.
The doctor was immediately called on at the incident site who after examining the couple declared them dead. Police also recovered a 20-page suicide note from their possession wherein the couple had admitted to love each other and sought an apology from their family members for committing suicide.
The police sent the bodies to MY hospital for postmortem and informed about the matter to the kin of the deceased.
According to hotel management, the deceased had come to their hotel at 1 am on Tuesday night.
In the hotel register, the girl Meenakshi had introduced Rohit as her brother stating that she had come to Indore to get her brother appear for an examination. On Wednesday night, the couple had ordered for their dinner in their room itself. Thereafter, they did not venture out of their room till 12 pm on Thursday, the hotel staff said.
Meanwhile, Khajrana police have registered the case under section 174 of the CrPC and started probe into the matter. Prima facie, police have suspected love angle as the reason behind incident.
