The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) employees will from now on receive their salaries through biometric payroll system. Notably, BMC Commissioner Tejaswi S Naik instructed the officials and employees of BMC that their salaries from January 1 2015 will be given to them on the basis of their attendance through biometric machine.
Naik instructed all the BMC workers to register themselves at biometric machines of their respected zones immediately. He also said if any one failed to register his or her name at biometric machine then they might face problems concerning their attendance and wages. The BMC zonal offices with installed biometric machines should get the imprints of the thumbs of all the employees. The BMC workers are instructed to register their attendance through the machine and those who will come late their half day salary will be deducted.
With a motive to cut down the increasing non official leaves and also to keep a check on the unethical behaviour of the BMC workers the zonal offices including BMC headquarters have the biometric machines installed. Naik said that without prior notice no employee or official can take a leave or leave the office premises or else stern steps would be taken against the concerned employee or official.
Meanwhile, every Monday a video conference will be held at BMC headquarters connecting all the zonal offices. With an aim to improve the various development works the video conferencing will be held every Monday from 10 am.While instructing further, Naik asked the officials concerned to resolve the complaints of public hearing with an immediate effect and should give all the updates through video conferencing. Further he asked the officials to remain present at their respected zonal offices on time during video conference.
