An anti-encroachment squad of BMC here on Wednesday removed many illegal constructions and other structures from different parts of the city.
The squad was continuously taking action against those erecting advertisement boards and illegal hoardings without BMC permission. The squad removed encroachments and illegal hoardings from Bairagarh, lalghati, Nehru Nagar, Jawahar Chowk, MP Nagar Zone 02, Misrod Main Road, Press Complex, New Vegetable market bypass road, Sonagiri and Kalpana Nagar. With the implementation of the instructions by Mayor and BMC Commissioner to remove the illegal hoardings, the squad removed hoardings from lalghati to Bairagarh.
In the similar action the squad also removed other encroachments like hand-carts, pan parlors, kiosks from the respective areas. The BMC squad also removed five kiosks, three counters, one pan parlor, four hand-carts and one illegal hoarding from Nehru Nagar Square.
While taking an action at lily talkies, the squad seized six two-wheelers that were parked at non parking area. Similar action was taken at New Market and Jawahar Chowk. Another team of anti-encroachment squad took similar action at MP Nagar and press complex and seized two wheelers and four wheelers from non parking areas. The squad also took action at Sonagiri and new vegetable market. At MP Nagar zone 02, the squad removed three counters of flower vendors at Jyoti talkies.
Further, it removed a kiosk and took action at Hoshangabad road, Misrod and nearby areas. The squad is continuously removing encroachments from main roads, public places and footpaths. Besides, the squad removed encroachments creating obstacles in the smooth movement of traffic.
