A 23-year-old Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) employee committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Banganga under TT Nagar police station area on Monday.
According to the police at around 7 pm the victim Pankaj Verma committed suicide at his residence and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Pankaj was a BA final year student and used to work as a contractual employee with the BMC as computer operator in ward number 23. Victim’s father is also employed with the BMC.
After the body was sent for post mortem a case was registered by the police.
Police have started investigation to figure out the reason behind the suicide.
