Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Frank Noble A discussed work done under the Global Environmental Facility with representatives of members of United Nations Organization for Industrial Development (UNIDA) under the Global Environmental Facility.
With the representatives implementation of various projects in view of environmental protection was discussed.
In the review meeting, UNIDO's Dr. Manish Negi, Dr. L.X.Jeder, Dr. N.P.Singh, Dr. B.R.Mishra, besides Additional Commissioner of the Corporation Vineet Tiwari, Deputy Commissioner Yogendra Singh Patel, Superintending Engineer Subodh Jain were present.
The representatives of UNIDO shared the benefits of 250 bio-CNG garbage vehicles and effects of greenhouse gas emissions under Sustainable Cities Integrated Approaches Pilot Project funded by the Global Environmental Facility.
These vehicles are used for collection work of door-to-door garbage of Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Working method of 250 bio-CNG garbage vehicles and effects of greenhouse gas emissions.
To reduce the pollution, information was given regarding the utility of these vehicles and regarding improvement in the environment of the city and financial savings to the corporation due to the operation was provided in detail.
Among other details shared during the review meeting of Bhopal Municipal Corporation solid waste management and environmental protection 400 tonne Bio-CNG per day capacity implemented through public-private partnership.
Torrified Charcoal Plant of 400 tonne per day capacity with the support of NTPC, 100 Ton Per Day Capacity CND Waste Plant, Plastic
Waste recycling plants, State-of-the-art slaughter houses disposal plants for these wastes and the scope of these projects.
The implementation will have an impact on the improvement in the environmental environment of the city and on the financial condition of the corporation.
Detailed information regarding the impact of the area was also given through power point presentation.
In the meeting, practical issues were discussed about the projects being implemented by the Corporation. Also regarding the difficulties being faced and their resolution and necessary improvements in the projects.
