local BJP leaders are protesting against the candidature of Om Prakash Khatik from Karaira Assembly seat terming him an “outsider”. Party sources said sitting Karaira MlA Ramesh Khatik shot a missive to district BJP president Ranveer Rawat on Friday evening stating that Om Prakash Khatik resides in Shivpuri district headquarters.
He said ticket could be provided to some other party leader from Karaira instead of fielding him. He said six to seven party leaders from Karaira are strong contenders for ticket from the seat. However, Ramesh Khatik said he would not leave the BJP and accept the party’s decision.
