The proposed ‘Mahakumbh’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that is scheduled to be held at Jamboree Ground would be a grand show of Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Madhya Pradesh unit of the BJP that was earlier shying in accepting Modi as a leader has now flooded the whole venue with the posters and banners of Modi.
A special team of artists from Gujarat have landed in Bhopal and preparing the pandals (tents). The artists were busy in decorating the tents that were in dome shape and they were being decorated in Gujarati style.
Besides, the BJP leaders and workers are working round the clock for making better arrangements at the venue.
On Friday, IG Upendra Jain and SP South Anshuman Singh inspected the venue and reviewed the security arrangements.
The organisers were erecting 50 feet tall cut-outs of Modi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Sushma Swaraj, lK Advani, Rajnath Singh and Murlimanohar Joshi. About two dozen such cut-outs are being erected there.
These senior leaders have already given consent to the State party headquarters regarding their presence in the programme. This is being considered as a major show of strength of the ruling BJP, before assembly elections.
Near the venue, behind St Xavier School, two helipads are being prepared, so that the VVIPs would reach the stage within minutes. A greenhouse has been prepared behind the stage.
The parking of buses would be near the venue and the organizers have made food arrangements for drivers and cleaners in the buses only, while separate lunch arrangement has been made for the party workers at the venue.
