Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice president – national membership co-in-charge and State organisational in-charge Vinay Sahastrabuddhe said, “The domination of the BJP has increased in Madhya Pradesh right from lok Sabha to Panchayat levels. We need to remember that our responsibilities have increased, the people have expressed faith and confidence in us and we need to meet the expectations of the people.”
Sahastrabuddhe while addressing the divisional workers conclave of the party at Rewa on Monday said that the elected representatives are accountable to the people.
Masses would approach the party organisation to express its expectations and feelings and the organisation could not make excuse by saying that we are not advocates or lawyers. For this, we need to have live relation of dialogue between elected representatives and organisation, he added.
He expressed satisfaction over the progress of mega membership drive in the State and patiently listened workers and organisation’s request with full seriousness that the work of mega membership drive suffered in the State due to civic elections hence, Madhya Pradesh should be given extra time for the drive.
The senior party leader assured the organisation and workers that he would aware the national leadership with their feelings besides would request on my own from the side of State workers for the same, but the final call would be from the national leadership.
The BJP vice president said that the membership drive is going in the right direction in the State and lauded the party workers for showing solid results with their hard work in record time. The state organisation and the workers have taken creative initiative for the membership drive. There is further scope of increasing the membership graph in the State, he added.
Earlier, Sahastrabuddhe was accorded warm welcome by party workers and leaders on his arrival at Rewa.
