The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a leaf out of its Madhya Pradesh unit's success against the Congress in 2013 Assembly polls. The advertisement war against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), launched by the saffron party is an example to this. Having successfully conducted advertisement war against the Congress in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP had succeeded in victory for the third term in the State.
Sensing this, a team of dedicated party workers has been dispatched to Delhi from Madhya Pradesh. This team is behind designing and publishing the eye-catching advertisements against the AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal. These advertisements have also created ripples in political circles, while only three days are left for the campaigning to end. Party insiders informed that the team from the State is in Delhi for over a month that conducted complete study over the issues that are being included in the advertisements.
In response to a couple of advertisements, the BJP leaders also faced problems, but during electioneering such activities certainly benefit the party in highlighting real issues and cornering those who had been making tall claims. Notably in Madhya Pradesh the main opposition Congress was not in a position to counter the ruling party for the advertisements, but in Delhi, the AAP leaders are continuously busy in replying to the advertisements by raising their voice in electronic media.
However, the political observers feel that factually, there is no reply to the advertisements in the elections, but they do impact the voters positively. Besides, cabinet ministers of Madhya Pradesh have also been pressed for campaigning in Delhi. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had addressed a gathering of natives of the State in Talkatora stadium of Delhi on January 30.
