Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP State head Rakesh Singh greeted each other for a ‘fourth consecutive win’ during the State office bearer meeting held at the State BJP Headquarters on Saturday.
Parliamentary Affairs and Public Relations Minister Narottam Mishra after the meeting announced that the party is coming back to power with a massive majority.
Having returned from his three-day trip to Bandhavgarh tiger reserve late afternoon, Chief Minister Chouhan reached the BJP office in the evening and joined his party colleagues. To surprise of many, the BJP office bearers allowed the media to enter the meeting hall at the outset where the party state head Rakesh Singh greeted CM Shivraj for his ‘able leadership which was guiding the party towards a historical fourth successive win in Madhya Pradesh.’
A comparatively relaxed looking Chouhan returned the favour by honouring the party MP president Rakesh Singh who ‘led the team of lakhs of workers who broke all the bounds to work in party’s favour in polls.’
The party office bearers also heaped praises on massive efforts put in by the Chief Minister and party state president.
The party mood was in sharp contrast to the sentiments prevailing ahead of exit poll results where the party leaders exhibited cautious response.
While talking to media persons, Mishra said, “On the basis of the feedbacks from the party workers and out of our own confidence, we can claim we are winning in MP.”
Trashing the exit polls, Mishra asked everyone to believe that the BJP was coming back to power in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The minister claimed that the first time candidates would be briefed by the Chief Minister over EVMs, VVPATs and counting process during an audio conference on Sunday. Senior leaders would also have been given division wise responsibilities.
