Making ten lakh Muslims members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh is not a big deal, the minority cell should move ahead for it with courage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s popularity among the community would make this target very small, said senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union minister Arif Beg.
Beg was addressing a meeting of the BJP minority cell convened here party’ State headquarters Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya campus in connection with mega membership drive.“Ever since the democracy is established in the country, the present atmosphere is unmatched. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done everything for the minorities and implementation of ‘Sabka hath sabka vikas’ (everybody’s company, everybody’s development) is perfect example of this,” Beg said.Beg said that the atmosphere has gone affirmative not only in India but also in the world.
BJP State minority cell president Hidayatullah Sheikh said, “We are sure that we would meet the target of ten lakh Muslim members given to us by the party leadership. The cell would organise ‘chai chopal’ (tea choupal) in all the 56 organisational districts of Madhya Pradesh in that presentation of the membership would be given while appeal would be made with the community to join the party in large numbers.”
Sheikh further said, “On behalf of the cell, leaders and workers I assure the party leadership that we are committed to make ten lakh Muslim members before March 31, 2015.He said that the cell, its leaders and workers besides main party is working hard to make acceptability of the party among Muslims. The community would be made aware with the good works done in the interest of the Muslims by the BJP government of the state led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan to convince and join BJP, he added.
