BJP thanks public for failure of Cong bandh

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed gratitude towards the trading community, peace-loving people and communication mediums of the State for making the bandh called by the Congress party in the State a ‘failure’.

BJP Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan while addressing mediapersons here on Thursday at the party’s State headquarters, said, “The failure of the Congress-called bandh has once again reflected the faith of people of the State in the BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Congress has lost mass support and this being the reason that despite presence of its senior most leaders in metropolitan cities, small cities and towns to get markets closed; at the place of getting support they face the wrath of the people.”

Chouhan also shared few examples of the public wrath over the Congress leaders with the mediapersons and said that it was really regrettable that the Congress leaders of national repute and All India Congress Committee (AICC) office bearers also hit the roads over an irrelevant and unnecessary issue like bandh and the height was that they faced the ignorance of the masses.

He said senior leader and AICC general secretary and former Chief Minister of State Digvijay Singh and Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Arun Yadav by coming on roads for bandh did not paid attention towards their party’s dignity and their seniority. The response of the people was not good over these leaders participation in the bandh, he added.

He said the only reason for failure of the bandh called by Congress was that the people knew that its demand of CBI enquiry was met with the Chief Minister asking the court to order for it and subsequently Supreme Court ordered CBI probe, with that the chapter has been closed.
