The State Congress has claimed that the Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the Centre is patting its back over Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government’s decisions.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman JP Dhanopiya in a statement here on Wednesday alleged that crore of rupees are unnecessarily spent by the Modi regime for getting false bravado.
“It was during the UPA rule that a decision was taken by the cabinet that under provident fund scheme, the limit of salary would be raised from Rs6500 per month to Rs15,000 per month and the minimum monthly pension to the retired employees would be Rs1000. News in this regard was published in January 2014 but as the Model Code of Conduct was in force due to parliamentary elections its notification could not be done that was done after the BJP came to power and it is only due to that the BJP is trying to take credit of the scheme,” Dhanopiya added.
Dhanopiya further said that Prime Minister Modi in order to get cheap publicity is doing false publicity through electronic and print media that this decision has been taken by his Government. But the people of the country are well aware of the truth.
Not only this, the Prime Pinister wasted crore of rupees of tax payers hard earned money by organising grand programs participated by Union Ministers and BJP Chief Ministers on September 30, at all the provident fund offices of the country to publicise this scheme, he added.
He said that the pension through provident fund offices is provided to the concerned persons only by direct bank transfer that is self starting procedure. In this scenario how justified was it to waste the hard money of the tax payers on the unnecessary programs. The people of the country are silently observing all these gimmicks and would give befitting reply at appropriate time, he added.
