State Congress has cautioned the electorate of the State to be beware of the survey reports telecasted by different television channels showing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) victory in the ensuing Assembly elections.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president and MP Kantilal Bhuria in a statement here on Tuesday alleged that perturbed with increasing reports exposing BJP Government’s corruption, scams and infighting in its organisation, the saffron party taking refuge in electronic media was showing surveys that are predicting BJP victory in order to mislead and confuse the people.
Bhuria alerted the people of the State to not get affected with these false and misleading survey reports and vote according to the conditions and considering the future of the State.
Taking a jibe at the doubtful surveys the former union minister registered strong apprehensions over the survey method and requested the Election Commission to immediately ban the survey that is misleading the people of the State and could influence the outcome of results of the elections. How can a sample survey by just 2,875 voters could predict the election result of the State having over 7.5 crore of population, he added.
He said that in the past similar surveys were carried conducted before the elections that eventually turned out to be totally wrong as the people rejected them. Some people occupying high seats in electronic media are engaged in the intellectual game of forming and demolishing governments through their laptops, electorate should remain alert with such people and should not get mislead by their partial designs, he added.
The State Congress chief periled that whether these surveys were the outcome of the heat of black money. Seems like those who have ate more than their appetite were now returning favours to the BJP by showing these misleading surveys, but the electorate of the State were very clever and knew that who was behind these surveys and would give befitting reply to them in the assembly election on November 25, he added.
