In the midst of heavy tussle, finally BJP has released the updated list of councilor candidates from Bhopal for urban body elections. BJP has decided the names of councilor candidates for 79 out of 85 wards of Bhopal and has put 6 wards on hold. On Ward 20, 28, 29, 46, 57, 66, the party can declare the name by Saturday evening. Many new faces have been given a chance.
It is being told that this time the BJP has faced a lot of difficulty in deciding the name in the urban body elections, after the release of the list of names in many places, the protest of the workers has come to the fore.
In the midst of the commotion that continued for the last few days, on Saturday morning, once again, they were engaged in churning with the final list. After a long discussion, District President Sumit Pachauri declared the list.
For the post of councilor, BJP has given attention to the representatives of in-charge Minister Bhupendra Singh, Minister Vishwas Sarang, MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Krishna Gaur and other senior leaders have been taken care of. Apart from these, former minister Umashankar Gupta was also active continuously.
Let us inform you that there were more than 400 contenders in BJP for the post of councillor. Along with the state office, there was a crowd of claimants in the district office. District President Pachauri took the bio-data and placed it in front of the core committee. BJP councilor candidates will be able to fill nominations till 3 pm on June 18. However, the party had asked several potential faces to submit nominations. So most of the nominations have been filed.
However, those who filed their nominations at the behest of their leader and did not get the ticket will have to withdraw their names.
