The Bharatiya Janata Party State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon while reviewing the progress of the mega membership drive of the party in the districts of Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions asked the Assembly constituency in-charges to reach the Mandals under their respective constituencies and take charge of the campaign.
Menon told the assembly constituency in-charges to activate the Mandal office-bearers by providing them the active membership forms and took back the duly filled forms after three days. The process would be completed in all the 756 Mandals of the State. Every office Mandal bearer would reach in three Mandals of his area and would make 123 active members, he added.
Assembly constituency in-charges of all the cells sat in groups and pledged that they would make stay in their Mandals of their charge. After the group meetings, a forty day cell wise programme was chalked out and the State leadership was assured that the target of the membership would be achieved. The six cells also presented the membership forms of one lakh members.
Menon addressing the meeting said, “The target and expectations of the national leadership are very big, that is why we would have to further accelerate our work.” He make it clear to all the office bearers present in the meeting that go from districts to Mandals and make all efforts to achieve the target. After reaching the Mandal the assembly constituency in-charges should handover responsibility of rural and urban centers to Mandal office-bearers and engage them in membership drive, he added.
He said that to do politics from Mandal level in the BJP, it has become necessary to make active members. Hence, it becomes duty of every party worker should become active member first before making membership drive meaningful. By becoming active member, the party workers would ensure political expertise and required qualifications for doing politics in the party, he added.
