BJP rolls out prog for farmers

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stated that political parties make attractive promises to the farmers during every election.

The farmers should be made self-reliant. The commitment of ‘Water for every farm and work to every hand’ would make the farmers self-reliant.

In a statement, BJP’s State General Secretary Banshilal Gurjar stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have started the initiative in this direction.

The agriculture growth rate of MP is more than 20 percent despite of drought, flood and other natural calamities. Making the farmers self-reliant is the mantra of the politics of the BJP.

Gurjar said that Congress’ Vice President Rahul Gandhi has accomplished his political tourism in UP in the name of the farmers. Gandhi has made a hollow promise to the farmers by announcing ‘karza-kurki khatam, fasal ki puri rakam’ (loan-seizures end, full price of crop) programme ahead of the election in Punjab.

The provision of seizing the tractors and the bullock carts of the farmers was started by congress itself. BJP ruled this provision out and provided relief to the farmers of the state.

Gurjar further stated that waiving the debt of the farmers would not make the farmers self-reliant.

The farmers of the country would not be influenced by the congress now.

The congress-led UPA Government has affected the banks badly by making Non Performing Asset (NPA) of worth 8 lakh crore.

Gurjar further said that the farmers expects water for every farm and work to every hand, this would improve the condition of the farmers.

PM Modi has decided to accomplish 99 irrigation schemes in three years. Starting the Pradhan Mantra Krishi Sinchayee Yojana is the main priority of the government.

The announcement of waiving the debt of the farmers is a betrayal to the farmers.
