Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Chandla in Chhatarpur district RD Prajapati loses his temper at an official programme and threatened an officer of his own Government publicly. The MlA in his anger also forgot that the officer he is targeting is a woman.
Prajapati while addressing a programme in his constituency on Wednesday not only scolded the woman forest officer from the stage but also challenged her action using insulting language. Prajapati, the first time entrant in Assembly was actually annoyed with the forest department SDO Vasu Kannojiya who took stern action against those involved in illegal felling during the electioneering in the State about a month back. During the action taken by the forest officer not only the illegally cut wood was seized but cases were also registered against those who were involved in the illegal felling of trees.
He raised the same issue in the programme in presence of Kannojiya who was also present on the occasion. “Forest officials and employees unnecessarily harass farmers and seize their belongings while they could not stop those wild animals that destroy crops. Prajapati has arrived and now no one could dare to send the farmers in jail, even if their fathers come they would not be able to put farmers behind the bar.”
The BJP legislator further said that with RD Prajapati in the scene no officer would be able to take any sort of action. He sounded like the farmers and the labourers are free to cut the jungles. Kannojiya when contacted to comment over the issue said, “I took the action keeping in mind the Government interest and followed all rules and regulations. The MlA has said something publicly without knowing the facts. People of the area could very well tell about the incidence and the MlA’s outburst. I have nothing to say more than this.”
