The Bharatiya Janata Party’s minority cell has called on the Muslims of the country to provide positive association and support to the new Government to be led by Narendra Modi.

The State minority cell president, Hidayatullah Sheikh, while welcoming  the support of the Forum for Muslim, Aligarh, to the Modi-led Central Government, in a statement here said that the Muslims of the country  should  give a positive association and support to the new Government  that has requested all the Muslims of the country to start with a new beginning by setting aside all their bias and chauvinism against Modi.

The Forum has also welcomed  Modi’s move of inviting all the premiers of the neighbouring countries to his oath-taking ceremony.

Sheikh said, “The initiative of the organizations of the minorities, considered as  the guardians of the communities, would quicken the country’s race on the path of development. If the country would prosper then both minority and majority communities would automatically proper.”

Sheikh further said the colonial powers divided the country on communal lines.  But now the relevance of the minorities’ politics are over. When development and good governance have become our brotherhood then, communalism should now be buried, he added.

He also welcomed the statement of former vice-chancellor of Darul Uloom Devband, Maulana  Ghulam Mohammed Vastanvi and called on the Muslims to follow his speech to lead a peaceful life.
