The Congress has claimed that having failed to utilise communal issues to get political benefit, the BJP has now started following the agenda of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for concentrating on ‘Garibi Hatao’ (poverty eradication).
While reacting over the meeting of the three Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States in Bhopal, Congress State Chief Spokesperson KK Mishra has said that the ideology which has created religious and communal tensions in the country over the issues of Ram Mandir, model code of conduct and article 370, has now decided to follow Indira Gandhi’s footprints.
So far, the BJP’s ideology has also disrespected Mahatma Gandhi and Bhimrao Ambedkar. He asked as what was the need of following the footprints of Indira Gandhi by adopting her resolution on poverty eradication (Gareebi hatao).
Mishra questioned the authenticity of this meeting and said that it is ridiculous that these people are thinking benefits of the poor because people of this ideology are neglecting the inflation, poverty and the poor. These people are devoted towards the Ramdevs and Ambanis.
Mishra asked the CMs to explain, as to why they left the issues of Ram mandir, model code of conduct and article 370. He further questioned as why BJP is adopting the ideology of Congress’ hero Gandhi-Ambedkar.
Notably, CMs of three BJP ruled States including Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Jharkhand CM Raghuvar Das and BJP vice president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe had a meeting here in Bhopal on Monday to draft BJP’s Garib Kalyan Agenda.
