BJP fails to implement Swachchh Bharat Mission

The Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed to implement its week-long Swachchh Bharat Mission programme that was scheduled from the birth anniversary of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay on September 25 to October 2. The call in this direction was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Notably, PM Modi had on September 24 called on his party cadres to observe the week staring from September 25 and ending on October 2 as Swachchh Bharat Mission week. September 25 happens to be the birth anniversary of RSS ideologue and author of inclusive humanism philosophy Pundit Deendayal Upadhyaya and while October 2 is the day of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

MP BJP media in-charge Hitesh Bajpai while talking to The Pioneer said that different activities were carried out throughout the state and on Friday the party workers would sanitise the Government hospitals of the State. But he failed to make available the details of the week long programmes held in the State to mark the Swachch Bharat Mission.

But, as announced by the party’s State president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan on September 24 that creative programmes would be organised throughout the week starting from September 25 and would come to end on October 2, in all the 56 organisational districts of the party by the party cadres, nothing of the sort happened.

However, neither the BJP State organisation nor its associate organisation Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised any programme in schools and colleges as claimed by the party State president. “The party workers would work throughout the week to realise PM Modi’s dream of clean India,” Chouhan had claimed.
