Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) executive committee meeting would be held on March 31. Many important decisions are likely to be taken in the State executive to be attended by all senior leaders of the State including Union Ministers, Chief Minister and other senior leaders of the State.
The BJP state working committee is scheduled to meet on March 31 to decide on its year-long work plan. The meeting of 400 BJP working committee members will meet in the presence of Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Thavar Chand Gehlot, party national vice-presidents Vinay Sahasrebuddhe, Prabhat Jha, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State BJP chief Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and organisational general secretary Arvind Menon.
The all important state executive while deciding on the year's work chart, the committee will enforce a life-long cooperation policy. State BJP remained tight-lipped on the details on the policy, but it seems to be a charter of guidelines for party workers.
Sources in the state BJP said that members including party district presidents and organisational secretaries will be appraised by central leaders who will also address the meeting over recent political developments including the debate on intolerance, JNU students' protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on reservations and Union Government policies.
The sources in the party also hinted that a decision over the Rajya Sabha members could also be taken in the meet. A panel of names could be formed to be sent to the election committee of the party.
Notably, two vacancies arise from the state in June, when BJP MPs Anil Madhav Dave and Chandan Mitra bow out. BJP sources said while Dave might make it, Mitra's re-nomination was not certain.
