An innovative programme of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) polling booth committees’ office bearers of Bhopal was held here on Thursday. The innovative programme was lauded by one and all. The party workers dressed in similar uniform were reflecting party’s unity and spirit of dedication and sacrifice.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after inaugurating the convention appreciated the efficacy of the programme and said that this was the first phase of Yatra during the election campaign. People of the State want politics of development and service. BJP has made development and service as its politics axis. Now the Congress party’s politics of maneuver is not going to be accepted by the people, he added.
Chouhan said that the BJP was heading for historic victory in Madhya Pradesh; this convention of the polling booth workers was symbol of that victory. The Chief Minister said the first phase of the Jan Ashirwad Yatra has been successfully completed. People welcome the Yatra with open arms in the Malwa region. This was due to the public oriented policies and the spirit of the service of the BJP Government, he added.
He said the Assembly election campaign has taken shape of people’s movement in Madhya Pradesh and the people are themselves working as party workers to ensure BJP’s victory. BJP national organisational general secretary Ramlal concluding the convention said that the work of converting victory of the party in Madhya Pradesh into respected victory would be done by the polling booth committees and party workers only.
National vice president Prabhat Jha said, “We have every right of expectations but with our expectations we should also not forget our duties and in the broader expect and in the interest of the nation and the organisation we should give preference to duty over expectations.” State president Narendra Singh Tomar said that this was a unique and innovative programme organised by the Bhopal district unit and this programme would turn out to be a guide for other places. Achievements of the State are matter of discussion nationwide.
State election campaign in-charge Anil Madhav Dave said the second name of scams is Congress. By immersing Congress we would do pious work. The BJP Government has done enormous development of the State ever since it came to power in 2003. State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon said that the workers are the face of the party. The role of polling booth level office bearers is very important and it is expected that they would remain alert and vigilant throughout the electioneering, he added. Earlier in the day Bhopal District BJP President Alok Sharma accorded welcomed the guests.
