The Congress party has alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh is acting with a spirit of vengeance.
Reacting over the FIR lodged against senior Congress MP and former Chief Minister of State Digvijay Singh, former leader of opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh said that the BJP Government of the State is acting with the spirit of vengeance against Congress workers and leaders in the State.
“Chief Minister and many of his cabinet colleagues are accused in several serious cases but the Government is not taking any action against them. BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and State president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan are openly challenging the lokayukta but the Government is taking select action only against Congressmen,” Singh said.
Singh further said that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Government is acting with vengeance against the former CM of the State and sitting Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh because he exposed the direct involvement of his (Chouhan’s) involvement in the biggest educational and recruitment scam of the country the VYAPAM scam.
He said that on the earlier occasion similar efforts were made in the issue of Treasure Island but they were boomeranged. Chouhan is trying to frame the former CM even in those appointments of which the decisions were taken by the then cabinet. The State where the amount of corruption has increased from lakhs to crores and billions there the Government is looking at the corruption of 5-10 lakhs but it is unaware of the corruption of crores and billions going on under its noose under political patronage and it is overlooking it, he added.
The senior Congress leader said that let Government make en number of attempts but it would not succeed in framing Congress leaders in false cases and like earlier occasion Digvijay Singh would emerge clear of charges this time also.
