I have been fascinated by these fathered gifts of nature. Their behaviours, size, shape and sheer brilliance of their colours have always left me spell bound,” he said.

He further said that this exhibition is an attempt to highlight the crisis the Wetland is up against. It is a call for taking up of the issue by the political class, the bureaucracy, the common man, the students and all other members of civil society before it is too late and the damage becomes irreversible. There are brilliantly clicked pictures of freckling lesser whistling- teal with a large egret, painted storks, large egret, small blue kingfisher, white breasted kingfisher, lesser pied kingfisher and Grey Heron as well.

A former senior officer of the Indian Revenue Service, Chandra has travelled widely within India and abroad. The camera has been his constant companion.
