An engineering student died while two of his friends were severely injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding loading auto-rickshaw near a coal depot under Sukhi Sewania police station area on Thursday. The condition of one of the injured is reportedly critical.
According to the police, three youths were injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding motorbike. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where one of the youths was declared dead.
The deceased was identified as lucky Viswakarma of Islam Nagar while the two injured were identified as Sudhir Vishwakarma and Shekhar Vishwakarma.
Condition of Shekhar is reportedly critical while Sudhir is stable. They are undergoing treatment at Sai hospital. lucky was a third year student of Bansal College and while Sudhir and Shekhar are residents of the same area in which the deceased used to live.
The loading auto rickshaw bearing registration number MP04-KC -4299 was seized and the driver was nabbed by the police.
Police claimed that the two injured are not in a condition to record their statements. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Family members of the deceased told that the deceased had gone to picnic at Raisen and met accident while on his way to home. The family members told him to stay at home on the occasion of festival but he went to picnic.
The incident took place at around 6 pm while the deceased along with his friends was on his way to home.
