A 28-year-old youth was robbed of his mobile phone by two bike-borne miscreants at Shanti Niketan under Govindpura police station area late in the night on Saturday.
Police said that the victim Manish Gupta was robbed while he was on his way to home and before he could reach, he was attacked and robbed by two bike borne miscreants.The victim in his complaint stated that the two miscreants obstructed his way and escaped with mobile phone over which he was talking.Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and started search for the accused.
The victim works as contractor and after the work he was on his way to home and after covering little distance he received a call after which he picked the call and continued to move forward but unaware of the bike borne miscreants he was robbed of his mobile phone.
