Bid failed, youth commits suicide in second attempt

After failing to commit suicide by jumping from railway platform shed at Bhopal platform no 1 an unidentified youth committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding train at Bhopal railway station in the afternoon on Tuesday.

SHO of GRP Bhopal Hemant Shrivastava said that it is not possible that the deceased jumped over electricity power supply lines as they are not reachable even after jumping from the sheds.

The incident took place at around 1 pm when the deceased was found in an injured state and was helped to reach platform no 1, but while the staff and people at the station were busy in informing ambulance service 108 the deceased jumped in front of Pathankot Express and committed suicide, he added.

Police have not found anything from the deceased which could help in establishing his identity. The deceased was not carrying mobile phone which could help in the investigation.

A sanitation worker at platform no; 1 Shankar Prasad helped the deceased who got severe injuries after he jumped from railway platform shed but before he could be provided with medical help he committed suicide by jumping in front of speeding train.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
