In a letter to Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal, concern over non-representation of minorities and dailts in Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the party has been raised by Bhopal district (minority) convenor Syed Abid Husain. He has demanded dissolution of the PAC.
The ten members PAC has been formed with an objective to contest State Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh but the lack of any member from minority and dalits will not achieve its motive.
The members of the committee are Alok Agrawal, Dushyant Dangi, Pankaj Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Amit Bhatnagar, Himanshu Kulshreshtha, Mukesh Jaiswal, Mukesh Upadhyay, Ashish Singhrah and Chitarupa Palit.
Hussain has pointed that at the time of communal tension on the rise witnessing atrocities with Dalits and Muslims across the state and country and along with these incidences minorities which are 17 percent of the population of the state could not be ignored as large part of minorities is looking towards AAP with hope.
The neglect on such important political issue of not having presentation of minorities shows the lack of vision of State convener of the party.
Based on the reasons the PAC should be dissolved and equal participation of all sections of the society should be ensured in the formation of PAC.
