A 20-year-old Sumbul Hyder of Bhopal has made the city proud by bagging first prize in global level article writing competition organised by online website ‘Fuzia’ on December 27. She has won a trophy, e-certificate and a cash award in the competition.
She said that in India no one considers marital rape as a crime. “I have seen cases where women are not asked before even touching and in some cases they are not even comfortable. Even women don’t know that their consent matters in such cases, this encouraged me to write about marital rape to create awareness and that it is a crime.”
