The online facility of Citizen Cop launched by the district police with fanfare has stopped functioning as it failed to serve any purpose.
The Citizen Cop mobile app was launched with several beneficial features for the citizens. However, it failed to function smoothly. These tools require dedicated and skilled resources to manage and maintain but they are neglected. So is the case of traffic updates which were provided earlier to the citizens but later came to a halt. The updates were quite helpful during protest, construction and emergency situations.

The list of the new officers in Bhopal Police website has also never been found updated and the provided telephone numbers and mobile numbers have been disconnected or handed over to other person posted at other department triggering enough confusions for the citizens who use the website to obtain the contact numbers of the officers.
Recently on January 28 due to Subhash Nagar under-bridge road construction the road was blocked throwing massive traffic jams at Subhash Nagar, Rachna Nagar under-bridge and Chetak Bridge.
SSP Bhopal Raman Singh Sikarwar said that the problems in the system would be rectified as these are technical issues and would be resolved. The existing system is adequate enough to
handle.
He said that the key objective of police is to maintain the law and order and these are technical tools which are somehow subject to malfunctions.
The resources are suffice and would be made to work efficiently for maintaining the receiving and resolution of the complaints.
