Mayor Malti Rai has directed to ensure better cleaning of all the drains and nullahs of the city and drains should not block and overflow anywhere in the rainy season.
Field officers should be informed about empaneled NGOs engaged in sanitation related works Mayor Rai gave instructions to the health department of the corporation in the meeting.
She said that more cleanliness system would need a better functional system and would need more number of personnel of NGO for coordination in sanitation work and for this thieri number has to be increased in each ward as per the requirement.
Mayor Rai said that sanitation work has to be ensured in a planned manner in the city on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha
She met the officials of the Health Department on Friday during which instructions were given to an increasing number of empaneled NGO members and instructed for better cleaning arrangements and clean drains before the rains.
Review of deployment of NGO in each ward for coordination in sanitation and cleanliness was done by Mayor Rai.
She was instructed to ensure better waste segregation, transportation, and disposal systems and motivate citizens to cooperate in the activities of cleanliness
Mayor Rai also spoke about the cleaning of drains before the monsoon after she received detailed information and instructed to ensure that drains are cleaned continuously in a better way. The area of drains and drains flowing anywhere in the city during the rains should be avoided.
Instructions were also given to keep a special vigil on the drains of the areas.
