Aimed at clearing encroachments and to keep the city clean and green the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken action against encroachments and those littering on public places creating traffic jams in the city.
On Saturday the Bhopal Municipal Corporation slapped a spot fine of Rs1,000 on hotel residency at MP Nagar.
During the drive the BMC collected a total sum of Rs8,500. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has requested the shopkeepers and citizens to dump the garbage at proper place and remove the encroachments.
Dumping the garbage at public places would increase filthiness and obstruct smooth flow of city traffic.
