The Bhopal artistes are heading towards creating a name in Bollywood and television industry as well. Under the same, a few artistes from Bhopal will be seen in Vashu Bhagnani’s next Hindi flick ‘Welcome to Karachi’.
Notably, three to four artistes of Bhopal will be seen playing the character artistes in the movie. This is like a great opportunity for the artistes of Bhopal to showcase their talent on big screen. The artistes including Furqan Khan, Manoj Bhama and Sayeed Khan will be seen in the movie.
Till now, the movie has been shot at locations of Karachi, Whales and Birmingham. The second schedule will be shot in Indore. While talking to The Pioneer, Artiste Producer from Bhopal, Avinash Dixit said, “I got a call directly from Bhagnaniji asking for the good artistes.
So, I conducted a small audition at Ravindra Bhavan for the artistes and then the video was sent to Mumbai. The artistes then were finalised by the director.” Elaborating further, he said, “I am very happy that Bhopal artistes are recognised in Bollywood. Moreover, we are striving to do our best and Madhya Pradesh may become a glorious name in Bollywood.”
‘Welcome to Karachi’ is an upcoming Indian film directed by Ashish R Mohan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The film stars Arshad Warsi and Jackky Bhagnani as pivotal leads.
The film is a political satire about two Indians, who land in Karachi, Pakistan without their passports. No sooner do they get trapped in web of the Taliban and try to find a way to get back to India. Anand-Milind, who delivered chart-topping music for Vashu Bhagnani earlier in Coolie No.1, will be composing music for this film. The film is set for a release on April 10, 2015.
