Minister for Revenue, Science and Technology Umashankar Gupta and Mayor Alok Sharma performed bhoomi poojan of community bhavan in Chanakyapuri situated at Chunabhatti.
The community bhavan will be built at a cost of Rs 26 lakh. Rs 8 lakh 50 thousand has been raised through public participation and Rs 5 lakh has been given by Gupta from the MlA fund.
Remaining amount Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand will be paid by the municipal corporation. Gupta said that participation of people of the colony is exemplary. He further said that residents of the colony should look after construction of the community bhavan.
Gupta informed about various public welfare schemes of the government on the occassion.
Mayor Alok Sharma said that efforts are being taken by the municipal corporation to eliminate basic problems.
He instructed the officials to complete the construction work within stipulated time. Public Representatives were present on the occasion.
