The first General Management Programme-Udaan for E5 level executives from various units and power sector sites of BHEl was inaugurated on Wednesday with lighting of the lamp by chief guest AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl Bhopal and PK Goyal, General Manger (HR) at Human Resource Development Centre BHEl, Bhopal. The GMP is a 10-day residential corporate level programme aimed at enhancing customer strategy and relationships (marketing), employee development and satisfaction, quality, process improvement and change management, financial analysis, reporting and capital management.
Yugandhar in his address said that presently company’s order book position is showing positive trend due to the efforts of top management, marketing group and cooperation of customers and other stake holders. The company is also focusing on supercritical power plants, which will definitely take the company back to its glorious position. The participants have got a unique learning opportunity for interacting among them and with faculty thereby developing strong networking base.
Goyal stressed on the need of conducting such programmes at various executive levels. He addressed that responsibilities of senior Managers are changing; their skill of coordinating, motivating, inspiring, developing and finally measuring, controlling performance of others has increased. This programme has been designed keeping in view the above aspects to develop more effective leaders who can shoulder more changing responsibilities.
Earlier, I Soreng, Sr DGM (HRD) welcomed the distinguished guests and participants. Swagata S Saxena, Sr Manager (HR) briefed about the General Management Programme. Hariom Piple, Sr Engineer (HRD) compeered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
