In a simple programme held at Press Shop division BHEl, Bhopal AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal inaugurated the ‘Weingarten make 32Tonne Notching Press machine’, upgraded through in-house developed application software and mechanical strengthening.
The machine valued at Rs 7.5 crore in the international market. On this occasion General Managers TG Chauragade, M Halder, Sanjeev Gupta, AGMs BMondal, BK Singh, Ravindra Aind, AK Bhowmick, Rizwan Sidiqui, FA Toppo, Vinay Nigam, Rajeev Sarna Sr DGMs Sapan Suhane and J Maitra, other senior officials and union representatives were also present.
The mechanical extension of its Y-Axis was done successfully for accommodating larger diameter jobs of up to 2600 mm size. Earlier the maximum size was 1080 mm outside diameter. The machine had low accuracy level hence could not be used for more accurate notching jobs. Also the application software was not capable of doing segmental notching operation and was only used for circular notching operations.
With these efforts, the machine can now be used to perform segmental as well as circular notching operations on the coil of all the rotor of large Electrical Motors of Electrical Machine Manufacturing Division. The capacity of the machine has now been enhanced 3 fold which will help in curtailing delivery time.
Meanwhile, BHEl, Bhopal is celebrating Environment Awareness Week from June 4 to June 10 on the occasion of World Environment Day. Various programs will be organized in the Plant and Township to create awareness for environment protection during the week. On the eve of World Environment Day, a contingent from BHEl Bhopal will participate in Environment Awareness programme organized by MP Pollution Control Board at TT Nagar Stadium on June 4.
On June 5 morning Plantation will be done in Factory (Near Swarna Jayanti Block) at 8.30 am and in township (Near Sarangpani lake) at 9.00 am. AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl Bhopal will be the Chief Guest. Competition / Quiz on environment issues will be organized in the factory. Prize will be given to the winners of competition at the end of the week.
