BHEl, Bhopal received ASME `U’ Stamp Certificate from American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The Certificate of Authorization from ASME Board for Code jobs gives an International recognition of capability of a Company to Design and Manufacture Pressure Vessels as per ASME Code. BHEl is holding this Certificate since 1987. As per the ASME Code certificate is valid for three years, and every three year BHEl has to demonstrate the same capability by designing and manufacturing of vessel for renewal of certificate.
Certificate renewal audit was carried out on September 22 and 23, 2016 by ASME Team and team had recommended for recertification for further three years. In a small ceremony BHEl’s Executive Director AMV Yugandhar has handed over ASME Certificate to GM (Thermal) Sanjay Gulati, GM (Fabrication) DD Pathak and GM (Quality) MS Kinra. Other officials present during the function are GM (P&D,IT,SCR) Sanjeev Gupta, GM(MM) HK Nigam, GM(logistics) Satyanarayan, AGM(QST,QFB) Mohd Rashid, ASME Audit Coordinator for BHEl Sr DGM (QND,QHC) VK Dongre, Sr DGM(CDE) SK Biswas and others.
