Shashi Ranjan Prasad, executive director, BHEl, Bhopal here on Friday presented the Bhopal Excellence Award Trophy — popularly known as BEAT Awards — to various groups of the unit for promoting all-round excellence.
The awards were presented under the manufacturing and support services category. SCR Division won first, TCB Division second while Hydro and EM Division were jointly placed third in the manufacturing category. In the Support Services category, IFX Division won the first, Finance, the second while HR and Medical Divisions were jointly placed third. The awards were received by the winner groups along with their respective General Managers.
Prasad in his address congratulated the winners and urged them to keep up the good work. DK Dikshit, GM (Quality) thanked the participating groups and assessors for their support in the award process. The best practices of each group were presented in position reports submitted by each department for the award. The assessment was carried out by a team of senior CII trained assessors. The assessment team comprised Sanjeev Gupta, GM (P&D & IT), Vipin Minocha, AGM (logistics) and Neeraj Dave, AGM (STE). The programme was coordinated and compered by Anurag Shukla, DGM (BEX) and Padma Shri Bl Chouksey, Sr Engr (BEX).
Meanwhile, helping hands under the aegis of BHEl ladies Club celebrated the New Year with great zeal and fervour. Neelima Prasad, president, BHEl ladies Club, was present as the chief guest on this occasion. The Vice Presidents, other senior officials and large number of employees of the wing were also present. Urmila Shrivastava, Vice President, Helping Hands, welcomed the chief guest with bouquets. During the function, bhajans, dances were performed. later, uniforms and New Year gifts were also presented to the employees.
Neelima Jaiswal, secretary, Technical Centre, coordinated the programme while Sapna Shakya, Treasurer, proposed the vote of thanks.
