Under the Chairmanship of Shashi Ranjan Prasad, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal, Plant Committee meeting of BHEl, Bhopal concluded here on Monday.
R Krishnamurthy, General Manager (In-charge) (Finance), Girish Shrivastava, General Manager (HR), other General Managers, members of representatives union VS Kathaith, Shankar Rao, Shubhash Verma and Jitendra Singh from HMS where as JP Gour, SK Hurde and Gautam More from INTUC as well as RS Thakur, Mohammad Farooq, JS Puri from KTU and other members of representative union were present on this occasion.
The meeting began with the welcome speech of Shrivastava followed by a presentation of the company’s performance in the first quarter. The presentation detailed the present challenges posing threat before the company. The company is currently facing a grievous problem of low order book position.
The need before us is to optimise utilization of materials efficiently, other cost effective measures should be adopted where ever lies scope for improvement and only by adopting this measures we will be able to compete with the present market condition.
The Plant Performance Payment model proposed on trial basis for the year 2012-13 was also shared with the union. The corporate office proposed PPP Model is based on six parameters which will be finalized at the Joint Committee meeting to be held later.
Various other discussions were held between the union and management on this with special emphasis on the present economic difficulties the company is going through. The union representatives assured full Cooperation in overcoming the present situation. KK Nair, AGM (HRM) proposed the vote of thanks.
