An interactive session for new and prospective vendors was organised by Materials Management group of SCR division BHEl Bhopal on Thursday.
About 50 representatives from 32 companies from different parts of the country participated in the event. BHEl’s business model, purchase process, vendor development process, e-procurement, digital signature and a need for strong vendor base was discussed with vendors by Material Management and Engineering groups of SCR division.
It was emphasised that in order to address the competitive environment faced by the group, vendors were required to give quality components in time, have good process control and reduced variance in quality. BHEl’s commitment to encourage MSE vendors (Micro Small Enterprises), give fillip to Make in India, Digital India drive of the country and BHEl’s commitment for highest order of integrity in decision making was discussed.
Shop visit was organised to give an opportunity to vendors to identify products which can be taken up for manufacturing.
SCR felicitated seven existing vendors in appreciation of the contribution regarding quality, delivery, performance, flexibility to meet BHEl requirements and service after sales.
The vendors honoured were M/s PeeCee Castings, M/s Dhathu Nirman Corporation, M/s Refair, M/s CGl, M/s BEl, M/s Pragati Electricals and M/s AKS Automation.
The session was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director. On the occasion Yugandhar said that the vendor have a significant role in BHEl’s success further emphasizing on the need for supply of high quality products.
Sanjeev Gupta GM- (P&D,IT & SCR), NK Bhar GM Finance , MS Kinra GM - Quality and HK Nigam GM-MM, all AGMs of SCR Division graced the occasion.
Convener of the session Shubhra Chaturvedi, AGM MM SCR, delivered the welcome address .GM SCR highlighted the importance of the contribution of vendors in bringing delight to customers by giving timely good quality products.
Technical presentations were given by Rahul Grover, Sonali Sinha and Dinesh Dubey while presentation on MM system and registration process was delivered by Neetu Dhamija and Nitin Chaturvedi respectively.
