BHEl, Bhopal is now in no position to employ women from Madhya Pradesh Mahila Kalyan Samiti even after requesting them to issue fresh orders. The samiti refused to pay heed to the requests though the work order expired last month.
The Samiti was repeatedly requested by the Human Resource Management Division of BHEl through letters to submit fresh request for work order when the order was nearing expiry, but with no response from them.
After the expiry of the work order, the samiti was informed that the facilities provided by the company to the women employees like quarter facilities, bus facility, concession in tuition fees to their wards in schools run by BSM would cease to continue and the appropriate agencies involved have been asked to stop all given facilities.
But, the Samiti did not respond even after being given information of the steps.
It is noteworthy to mention that some anti-social elements are spreading misleading rumours that BHEl has terminated all the women employees working there through Mahila kalyan Samiti.
The company management is sympathetic towards the working women on humanitarian ground and has time and again requested them that they may get back to work through BlEW computer Centre, a welfare wing run by the BHEl ladies Club.
BHEl has been providing employment to 115 women at different offices as typists and stenographers from time to time by issuing work orders to the Samiti.
