Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEl), Bhopal on Sunday received ISO 50001:2011 cerification for efficient Energy Management System. The certification has been awarded by lSM Certification Private limited, lucknow working for Australian Certification Company M/S JAS A N Grade. The certification has been given for three year which is subjected to be verified every year.
The BHEl, Bhopal has adopted various energy saving schemes in the unit. As a result of which savings of Rs 3.5 Crore could be achieved in the energy bills.
Around 6.5 per cent saving in energy bill have been achieved as compared to the energy bill in 2012-13.
In the year 2016-17 also savings of Rs 3.5 crore will be tried to achieve.
A large amount of money can be saved by reduction in consumption of gas, lPG, compressed air, vapour, electricity and less usage of AC.
To reduce the lighting load fresh wiring has been done and timer as well as motion sensor has been installed. The major savings have been achieved by efficient use of lPG and electricity in heating load.
In the future smart distribution system will also be adopted through usage of power can be controlled where consumption is more.
And with the use of
camera also unused load can be controlled by distant control room.
