AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal on Wednesday inaugurated the new GM Test Bed of Traction Alternator Motor in Block-2 and Reconditioned CNC Retrofitted Polepad machine in Traction Motor, Block-09.
On this occasion TG Chauragade, General Manager, WE, CS & HR; AK Jain, General Manager, TPTN,CET,EM & EMRP; NK Bhar, General Manager, Finance; Sanjeev Gupta, General Manager, P&D,IT were present. Additional General Managers B Mondal, BK Singh, Rajeev Sarna, SChandra Sekhar, J Maitra and other senior officers were also present in the programme.
Traction test bed facility has been shaped jointly by electronics maintenance, Factory civil, Field Maintenance and TAM division by using in-house resources. This facility will help cater present and anticipated order, extending assistance to get new order.
In this system motor, PlC, SKADA, Control panel and operator panel has been installed to facilitate testing of GM Traction Alternator machine which is manufactured in TAM Division. Very sensitive Transducer and PlC is being used to get accurate and reliable test parameter to avoid manual error.
Skada is used for controlling the system and monitoring the test parameter. The safety aspect of man and machine was specially considered while designing the test bed.
In Traction division, CNC Polepad machine was installed in 1994 by M/s HMT. The machine was not working since 2009. This machine has been Reconditioned and CNC Retrofitted by CNC maintenance division.
In this this up gradation process, New Siemens Make 828D CNC Controller, PlC, New Table, Sinamics Servo drives & AC Servo Motors, Ball Screw For all linear Axes, Electrical Panel and operator Panel were installed & complete reconditioning of machine has been done.
After this up gradation work, the job quality, productivity, machine reliability has increased and job cycle time decreased.
