BHEl conducts turbine model test successfully

The Vishnugad Pipalkoti HEP project is situated in Uttarakhand. The project has four Hydro Turbine-Generators, each of 111 MW, operating under rated net head of 212.46 m. The design and development of turbine suitable for this project was carried out by BHEl Hydro lab Engineers.The Turbine Model Test has been successfully done in Hydro lab from July 27 to August 1 in presence of engineers from THDC India ltd. The test proved the turbine capability to meet the guaranteed efficiency, output and other guaranteed parameters.

Kannanjia AGM (THDC India limited) congratulated BHEl and Hydro laboratory in particular for completing the 1th milestone before schedule and giving higher efficiency than guaranteed. He especially thanked AGM Hydro lab) testing for explaining the test in detail, and giving reply to their quires.Dinesh Kumar GM (Hydro) said, “Model Testing activity has been completed as per agreed scheduled. And, further asked Hydro lab team to maintain the tradition of completing model test in time. He requested customer to give approval of drawing in time in order to ensure timely delivery. He thanked customer for agreeing to witness model test as required by BHEl.

Rajeev Singh (Commercial, Mfg & GJB) applauded the effort of hydro lab and assumed customer for timely execution of further activities.M Mangla, AGM (Hydro lab) declared the result and thanked all associated department and Hydro lab team. He especially thanked customer for their co-operation and dedication during Model Witness Test.The function was attended by staff of Hydro laboratory and other senior official of other Hydro departments. To date, Hydro lab has successfully completed 52 contractual Model Tests.
