BHEl Bhopal on Sunday celebrated the 122nd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Bhimrao Babasaheb Ambedkar with great zeal and fervor.
Executive Director, BHEl-Bhopal Shashi Ranjan Prasad was the Chief Guest. General Manager, HR Girish Shrivastava; all GM’s, Officials of SC/ST welfare Association, various union representatives and large number of township residents were present at the event.
Prasad in his address said that ‘Babasaheb dedicated his entire life for the progress of the nation and the society. He was a legend who made significant contribution in building new India. He possessed extraordinary visionary qualities & was incredibly talented. Babasaheb wished to bring about a revolutionary change in the society. He wanted all round development of the nation & equal opportunity be provided to cross section of the society.
Babasaheb dreamt of building a vibrant India who could lead the universe and the citizen of this country to be socially, financially and politically skilled. He believed India to be rich in resources and the land of the most skillful people, blessed with all the rewards and possesses high leadership qualities. Ambedkar besides drafting the constitution of the country scripted the noble theme of social equality’.
Prasad exhorted the gatherings to take inspiration from the life of Ambedkar & resolute to work selflessly for the development of the nation. let us hold our hands together to transform the dreams of Babasaheb into reality thereby dedicating self for the progress of the State and the country.
‘We share the same belief about Ambedkar, as we used to share fifty years ago. Social development is not possible without literacy and Babasaheb perceived this long ago.’ said Shrivastava, making the gathering aware about the life and achievements of the great soul and said that Babasaheb has changed the course of the nation. Transformation was evident in Indian history and culture before and after the execution of his policies.
On this occasion all union representatives also garlanded the statue of Babasaheb and presented their views. Besides, prizes were also presented to the students having extraordinary talent.
