Under the aegis of Town administration, BHEl, Bhopal, various repair and maintenance works have been carried out in the township of BHEl.
With an investment of Rs 35 lakh, roof water proofing of more than 120 quarters have been completed in the last two months with APP sheets. Parking area near Berkhera market is also upgraded with WBM. Around 0.65 km road has been widened of the church road. Roof water proofing in Piplani area with APP sheets of 200 quarters at an estimated cost of Rs 70 lakh is also completed. Similarly in Govindpura area, roof water proofing of approximately 84 quarters have been completed with an investment of Rs 22 lakh. The water proofing works have been carried out by APP. In order to provide immediate relief to the residents of the township water proofing was also done by cementing. Other works relating to the township in monsoon like road repairing, proper drainage system and tree plantation are also in progress. The sidewalk of the road has also being repaired.
Meanwhile, a half day workshop on Uniform Custom Practice 600 was held at IFX conference hall, BHEl, Bhopal, in association with SBI and BHEl, Bhopal. R Krishnamurthy, general manager (finance), Pradeep Singhal, general manager (material management) and Subhash Saxena, general manager (CDC, PMG & CMG) were present on this occasion. Around 80 BHEl executives dealing with Documentary Credit, Bank Guarantee and EXIM Policy attended the meet. Krishnamurthy in his address emphasised the need of knowledge updation with respect to the recent changes in foreign trade, to understand the implications over BHEl operations. On this occasion AGM (SBI) gave a presentation on the subject wherein various queries put forward by the participants were answered.
