The Panchayats and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava chaired a meeting of general body of MP State Tech E-Panchayat Society (MPSTEPS) here on Tuesday.
Bhargava undertook point-wise review of works done by MPSTEPS pertaining to 13th Finance Commission. Additional Chief Secretary Aruna Sharma and Principal Secretary Finance Ashish Updhayay were also present on the occasion. The meeting was informed that CA firms/companies have availed services of accountants-cum-data entry operators under RGPSA Project on outsourcing basis.This system has helped in establishment of fiscal discipline due to accounts’ data having been uploaded on the web portal for last 3 years. The meeting reviewed progress of work to provide internet connectivity through BSNl and retail. The meeting was informed that the Central Government has set a target of expansion of National Optical Fibre Network by year 2016.
The work is being done at a rapid pace. The general body meeting also reviewed process of installation of computer and other hardware in various districts through laghu Udyog Nigam. Secretary Panchayats & Rural Development and CEO of MPSTEPS Sanjeev Kumar Jha informed about important achievements of the institution through a presentation. Commissioner Panchayats Raghuvir Shrivastava, Commissioner MNREGA Seema Sharma, Managing Director Samagra Social Security Mission Ajit Kumar and members of the committee attended the meeting.
